Two friends, Kenrick and Miguel, share everything except their philosophy on girls. Miguel is faithful to his one and only girlfriend, Renee. Kenrick is a player with “an appetite for girls”. When Kenrick confronts Miguel about not practicing safer sex, Miguel questions Kenrick’s status as a player. After Kenrick’s father pays him a visit and advises, “You are the choices you make, son. You have to ask yourself if you’re making the right choices”, Kenrick decides to get an HIV test. The Hear Me Project Story Writing Contest. The HEAR ME contest was launched in 2004 after a spike in HIV rates among youth was reported. The HEAR ME contest motivates young people to think about their personal vulnerability to HIV/AIDS. Since 2004, the number of entries has surpassed 10,000. A survey of this years contest participants demonstrated that 89% are now more aware of their vulnerability to HIV/AIDS, while 88% said they are now more knowledgeable about HIV.
